Aura cleansing

As Sadhguru says “It’s good to keep your body clean; it’s good to keep your mind clean; it’s good to keep everything that is you clean.”

One can easily find many methods to purify the body and mind such as eating right food, practice sadhana, and many more. 

Your aura is an energy field around you that reflects your inner emotions, so cleansing away bad vibes helps you feel better you live your best life. It’s especially helpful for getting rid of energies you picked up from day-to-day drama, other people that might be affecting you, or any emotionally charged events. It can be a lot!

Many people find they feel lighter and more positive after an aura cleanse.

When to cleanse your aura?

There is no hard and fast rule as to how often you should cleanse your aura – the bottom line is to cleanse it as much as you need to. Working with auras and energy is very much about working with intuitive feelings. Cleanse your aura when you feel tired, stressed, or upset. Feeling rundown or like you have no energy is a sure-fire sign you need to do a cleanse. You probably have some negative energy blocking you, but an aura cleanse will clear that away.

If you feel bad after spending time with someone who’re angry, sad, greedy, or jealous which affects your energy you probably need to do an aura cleanse. Consider cleansing your aura like washing your hair – as and when needed.

Do make a note: Aura cleanses are great for helping you feel more positive, but they’re not a replacement for medical treatment. Should you think you’re depressed, consult your doctor immediately.

Few suggestions for aura cleansing:

  • Taking a spiritual – salt water bath

A nice soak may be the perfect way to literally wash away all your stress and negative vibes. Fill your tub / bucket with comfortably warm water, then add 1 cup of Himalayan pink salt or Epsom salt (also known as rock salt). For added benefits, add a few drops of essential oil such as – eucalyptus, lavender, rose, or rosemary. Soak for about 10 to 20 minutes to cleanse your aura. Then, imagine the draining water carrying away all your troubles.

Note: you may feel sticky for some time, but do NOT apply soap. You may set a routine as one a week.  

  • Walk in the rain

Rain is a natural way to cleanse your aura with water, which is purifying. Next time it rains, go for a cleansing walk. Be intentional about your walk by imagining the rain washing away your stress, anxiety, or negativity.

Caution: Do NOT go for a walk during a thunderstorm.

  • Sound Cleansing

Your aura can be cleansed through sound. Consider using a handheld chime, tuning forks, or a Tibetan singing bowl for aura cleansing.

Certain frequencies and tones given off by these instruments can help “shake” those bad vibes out and rejuvenate your aura through vibration.

You may obtain a local sound bath meditation event and prepare to be amazed at the range of emotions felt as the different sounds reverberate off the walls and into your spirits.

  • Give yourself to nature

You can release your stress or negative energy back into the earth to cleanse your aura. Spend 10 minutes outside in the sunshine or walking barefoot or lying down on green grass. Imagine the sun’s bright rays or the earth’s healing energy filling you with white light and vitamin D. Take a break from the chaos!

As another option, try doing stretching or yoga outdoors. Moving your body helps you connect with yourself and get rid of negative energy.

  • Do meditation and release your emotions

Chanting a mantra is a great way to cleanse your aura. Choose a mantra that resonates with you, like “OM”, any “deity you believe in” or even just as “I am calm” or “I’m at peace.”

Sit comfortably and close your eyes, then slowly chant your mantra to yourself. You might start with a 5-minute meditation or as long as you want to.

  • Practice Self-Love

Constant practice of self-love will help you to stay soft and nurtured regardless of what negative energies are flying around all over the place. Daily affirmations, visualizations, changing your inner talk, are all ways of weaving more self-love into your world.
